A gentle introduction to Yoga and meditation for Beginners with Kathryn. She will take you through a guided meditation at the beginning and end of the class with a gentle asana practice in between. Strong emphasis on breath and moving with the breath. Suitable for all levels. Coming to your first Yoga class can often feel overwhelming. This workshop will help you understand the basics and ease you into a Yoga practice that is accessible and give you an excellent insight as to why Yoga and meditation are so good for you. This workshop will introduce you to some key yoga postures (asana), looking at alignment and modifications to make the postures safe and accessible. We will work with breathing techniques and there will be a strong emphasis on linking movement to the breath.

A regular yoga practice can help to build strength and flexibility, improve fitness and reduce stress and tension. The intention of this workshop is to lay the foundations to develop a regular practice and experience these benefits for yourself. Expect to leave feeling energised yet relaxed and confident to begin your yoga journey. Suitable for absolute beginners.
