How many of you are animal lovers and have yet to visit the local farm we have in Leeds? Or rather, have yet to visit any farm before because you live in a city? Here's your best opportunity to visit those adorable animals with like-minded people of the society. A little information about the Farm: Meanwood Valley Urban Farm, a registered charity, was established in 1980 to provide services to inner city communities. From the Farm’s humble beginnings operating from two old caravans, it has grown into a 24 acre site. It’s not only a working farm with a wide variety of animals, but also a major centre for community and environmental work. They contribute to the community in a number of different ways and one of them is providing adults with learning disabilities training in gardening, literacy and numeracy.

They also have a cafe in the Farm which we can pop-in and have a small meal/drink during the visit. Last but not least, they do sell a small amount of products which the farm produces in their mini shop. E.g. eggs, vegetables etc. Please bring money for the following: Entrance price: £2 (Must be in CASH. Pay to the farm directly when we get there) Extra money: if you would like to get anything from the farm. Non-members are welcome to join us. Hope to see you guys there.

We will meet at Parkinson Steps at 1pm and we will walk to the farm from there. You will get to explore "countryside" of Leeds during our walk there and also get to mingle around and make new friends. Please wear comfortable shoes as there will be lots of walking involved. In case of bad weather, please wear coats with hoods etc.
