Lancaster University will be celebrating their first ever month-long Black History Month Celebration during October. This is a space for education, celebration and looking to the future of Afro-Caribbean race relations in the UK and overseas through the vast socio-cultural and economic contributions made by the African -Carribean people. This month long celebration will include various workshops including dance, art and craft etc. to teach us all and share one another's knowledge on African- Carribean culture. Kizomba is a dance style that originated in the 80's in Angola and the term Kizomba comes from the expression Kimbundo which means "party".
