Canterbury based Singer / Songwriter, Emily Watts to release second EP ‘All These Years’ and a celebration launch night at the Gulbenkian on Friday 9th March + Special guests. Influenced by female singer/songwriters such as Kate Bush, Bat for Lashes and Joni Mitchell, Emily Watts uses piano and vocals to perform her haunting self-penned songs. Following her debut EP, From the Blue, Emily will release her second EP, entitled All These Years, on her own label, Beautiful Town Records. The EP is a collection of songs written over the past couple of years, exploring themes of life, love, fear and loss. The EP features the singles, Where Are You Now, which received national radio play on BBC Radio 2 and Wait for You, which was included in Tom Robinson’s Fresh Faves. Both songs gained support and airplay from BBC Introducing.

The EP includes three brand new tracks; Fires, Resting Place and the closing track Island. The EP was produced by Daniel Moyler who has worked on releases by JP Cooper, Rae Morris and Jake Isaac and was recorded at The Neighbourhood studio in London – the home of multi-platinum selling band Athlete and mastered at Metropolis Studios by Andy ‘Hippy’ Baldwin. Emily has also recently ventured into writing for other artists, co-writing Signs for Alex Maxwell with Alex and Gregor Philp (Deacon Blue), released on Hollywood Records / Polydor. “A songwriter to be reckoned with. ****” Songwriting Magazine “For fans of London Grammar… lovely vocals over beautiful production” Abbie McCarthy, BBC Introducing “Echoes of early Adele mingle with classical overtones as her voice soars above her hypnotic piano.” The Musician “A breath-taking performance” Melting Vinyl Jon Grayson is a Kent based artist currently releasing his debut EP, Stranger, on all digital platforms. Since its release in November ‘17, the record has received widespread praise with the title track catching the ear of BBC Kent and Radio One’s Abbie McCarthy, who first aired the single. Tracks from the EP have also received airplay on multiple stations as well as being playlisted on CSR FM. The campaign behind the EP recently culminated in a sold out headline show at The Islington in London with the backing of a full band. Working with producer Jack Watson, the singer-songwriter’s sound is pitched somewhere between The Police and The Killers, with modern pop sensibilities and hooks reminiscent of John Mayer. Over the summer, Jon is looking on to a number of festival appearances including Music on the Green 2018, whilst also being hard at work on his second EP, with a new single ‘Cartoon’ set to be released in spring of 2018. ‘Music that neatly straddles that Radio 1 / Radio 2 divide...those hooks soon get a hold of you’ Crack Magazine Echoing in stillness, Abigail Hubbard has a magical and truly unique style that pulls you on a journey which signifies the vastness of human emotion. Starting out as a music loving embryo tapping beats on her mothers naval, she was anxiously but calmly awaiting to be let loose to make musical steps with her intrinsic sounds. Based in Whitstable, Abigail is a refreshingly original solo artist who collaborates tastes of trip-hop, jazz and folk to create an ensemble of humbling melodies. Her poetic verse with soulful undertones can only be compared to the lyrical prowess of a blue whale, if only they could speak. Tickets £7 full £6 students:

I'm trying so hard to make this work Emily, I'd LOVE to come to your launch. Sadly Simon has a gig that night, Gav is away and I'm supposed to be staying up in London for the weekend after work that night but I'm checking to see if I can rework it. Eeek X
