Creative Writing Workshop Crook Hall Gardens

From Holden Caulfield to Sherlock Holmes, it is the characters that truly make stories come to life. But how do you write realistic characters that your reader will love to get to know and hate to say goodbye to? Join writer Florianne Humphrey in the beautiful and historical setting of Crook Hall & Gardens for an afternoon creative writing workshop. She will share short and easy techniques to write realistic and vivid characters, with a particular focus on dialogue and narrative voice, which you can fit into your day-to-day life. She will also open the floor to discussion and questions about the publishing world and how to get your work noticed. For complete beginners to wannabe writers who have already penned their own pieces, this workshop will help you learn new writing skills, share ideas, meet like-minded people, and fully appreciate the importance of creating realistic characters. This will be a small group, ideal for personal attention, development and feedback.

Please note: As well as the workshop fee, participants will have to pay an additional £8 entrance fee into Crook Hall & Gardens. However, this will give a full day's access to explore the house and grounds before the workshop begins.
