What to expect Our A Level open evenings are designed specifically for those interested in studying at the college's sixth form. You'll have the opportunity to find out more about the courses available, and what's on offer to you as an A Level student.  Meet our tutors – They’re passionate about the subjects they teach and are happy to answer your questions. Get a glimpse at college life – Studying A Levels at college gives you access to much more than a sixth form. Apply on the night – Don't wait for your GCSE results - our friendly staff are on-hand to help you fill out an application form and answer questions. Helps you to make a decision – Undecided about what you’d like to do next? Our careers team are available to speak to as well as tutors and/or current students.

Share the experience – Bring along family and friends so they too can get an idea of what life is like at West Notts and help you make those all-important decisions.  Overview If A Levels are your preferred route after finishing your GCSEs, consider West Notts' sixth form as your first choice for study. This open evening is designed to give you all the information you need about studying A Levels at college, the 15 A Level subjects we offer, and the opportunities to progress into Higher Education right here on campus at the Vision University Centre, Mansfield. Studying A Levels at the college's sixth form gives those wishing to pursue this academic route the opportunity to also become involved in the wider college community. In 2018, students achieved an outstanding overall pass rate for A Level of 100%, with over 94% of students moving on to their first choice university.
We offer A Levels in the following subjects: Biology Business Studies Chemistry English Language English Literature Film Studies Geography  History Law  Maths Media Physics Politics   Psychology  Sociology  New for 2019 – BTEC options for students. Students now have the opportunity to choose two A Level subjects from the list above and study a BTEC course alongside these, choosing from health and social care, IT or sport and exercise science. Careers advice We appreciate that with all the different educational options available, it can be quite overwhelming for those who haven’t got a clear career goal in mind. As a result, our careers team will be on hand to provide impartial, informative advice and guidance – helping you to make a decision about your next steps.
Support services You will also be able to access our support services to ask any questions you may have, such as whether you might be eligible for financial support, how to get to college using our college bus service and additional learning support.
