Attendance Once you have booked onto a workshop, you are expected to attend, if you find that you are not able to meet your commitment to attend, you must ensure that you cancel your booking by contacting the Doctoral School at the earliest possible opportunity so that someone else can be offered the chance to attend. Should you fail to attend a workshop without providing a valid reason your supervisor and Head of Department will be notified. If we find we have to cancel a workshop at short notice (for example, as a result of tutor illness or extreme weather) we will contact you as soon as possible by email using the email address you submitted at booking. Cancellation of Attendance The Researcher Development Programme is very popular and for many workshops we have waiting lists of students wishing to attend. Hence, if you book a place on an event you are expected to attend. If you realise that your attendance is going to be impossible you can cancel your booking by emailing the Doctoral School [email protected] . Please do so as early as possible (and at least 48 hours in advance) so that we can offer your place to another student.
