Healthcare Wellbeing Plan Knowsley

In January 2019, the NHS in England launched the Long Term Plan. The plan set out key priorities for the NHS to implement new service models and how it will address some of the critical challenges such as workforce and new technologies. In response to the NHS Long Term Plan Knowsley CCG is working with local partnership leaders on plans to improve the health of local people and make sure that our health and care system is focussed on the needs of patients; supporting more of us to stay well for longer and providing the very best treatment and care when needed. There will be more collaboration between GPs, their teams and community services including those delivered by the community and voluntary sector, as ‘primary care networks’, to increase the services they can provide jointly.  We would like to invite representatives of Social Sector (voluntary, community, faith and Social Enterprise) organisations based in the Kirkby area to join in the conversation about future Healthcare and Wellbeing in the local community. This event will enable participants to discuss the NHS Long Term Plan and the Primary Care Networks in Knowsley.  Your local Primary Care Network Clinical Network Director, Dr Mike Merriman, will be opening the event and One Knowsley’s Chief Operating Officer, Racheal Jones, will be facilitating the conversation.

Please join us to be part of this conversation on Friday 18th October at Southdene Community Centre, book on here. If you cannot attend this event, there will be a further engagement session on Wednesday 23rdOctober at Court Hey Park – you can book on here. #NHSLongTermPlan
