How Diversify Your Funding Funding Workshop Panel Event

How can arts, culture and heritage organisations build a sustainable funding portfolio? Are we over reliant on the Arts Council? How can we work better with businesses in Reading? Come along to this workshop and panel event to ask the experts, and get practical, engaging support to develop your own projects. Building a diverse portfolio of income from grant funding, in-kind support, crowdfunding and more, is a challenge faced by a wide variety of organisations and individuals. This event aims to give you some of the tools you might need to ensure your organisation has sustainable funds for your creative programmes The session is in two halves, a practical workshop followed by a panel discussion and a drinks reception. You are welcome to attend one or both, but please book each half separately Crowdfunding Workshop with Phil Geraghty, founder of Crowdfunder.co.uk 3.30pm – 5.30pm (30 places available for this session) Crowdfunder Founder Phil Geraghty will offer an interactive and invaluable workshop, built around your requirements.

You will receive an overview of the crowdfunding spectrum, see relevant case studies and learn how to produce your own crowdfunding campaign. Funding Panel Question and Answer 5.45pm – 7.15pm (60 places available for this session) Experts in diverse funding streams and creative ways to secure income or in kind support, will answer your questions. Mary Genis from CultureMix, one of Reading's National Portfolio Organisations, renowned for their diverse and sustainable income streams. Kirsti Wilson, Managing Director of Connect Reading, who specialise in linking businesses with voluntary and arts organisations through in-kind support. Phil Geraghty, founder of Crowdfunder, is a leading authority on rewards-based crowdfunding after launching and managing the growth of Crowdfunder.co.uk.
Heritage Lottery Fund, representative from their new ‘Engagement’ team to talk about grant funding opportunities. We are inviting key representatives from Arts Council England, Lottery Heritage Foundation, The Earley Charity and Berkshire Community Foundation, who will be expecting informal conversations at this point.
