Future Work Developing People

Back with our Spring event, we continue the conversation around how sharpening the focus on people development in the workplace is more crucial than ever.  Every quarter, WiseAmigo hosts this event and collaborates with leading industry figures and experts who share insights and stories on how they’re developing their people and culture. We discover what works and why but ultimately, why is it so important? We look at questions like; How do we engage and get the best from our people? Who leads it? How can we offer the best opportunities for our people to learn and grow in an ever changing technological and economic landscape?  *2/3 Speaker Announcement* Lucy Mack, Head of People at Yieldify, a high-growth MarTech company securing top 25 positions in both the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 and the Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50.

Lucy manages Global People Operations across London, New York, Sydney and Singapore. At Yieldify, two-way and open conversations about the long term are actively promoted with employees. Lucy will explain how important this is and how it helps to widen the scope of opportunity for the individual and how that fluidity between the employee/employer relationship is so beneficial in the world of technology scale-ups. Fiona Williams, Head of HR at BuroHappold Engineering, a design consultancy firm for the built environment, employing engineers and consultants from around the world to lead and deliver iconic projects globally, for 44 years.  Fiona and her team collaborate with UK leaders and global counterparts to support the running of the business looking at all aspects of the employee lifecycle and ensuring they attract and retain the best people.  BuroHappold started as a small firm of passionate Structural engineers in Bath and has now grown to a 1,800 strong global company.
The passionate engineers are still there, they just need a little more managing. Fiona will explain the journey BuroHappold has taken to create a global learning culture that supports the career and development of all its employees, looking at neuroscience, technology and generational differences and explain how they are overcoming line manager capabilities to support this.  More speakers to be announced Event details: 18:30 – 19:00 Arrival drinks 19:00 – 20:30 Talks 20:30 – 21:15 Networking & Pizza Follow us on LinkedIn for updates: WiseAmigo and register to attend.  Open to anyone interested in People Development and the Future of Work.
