Speakers Ben Williams, Chief Executive, Sten10 and Chair, ABPDr. Kiki Leutner, UCL | Hirevue People have been using games for centuries as part of recreation.  However, it is only recently that the potential for its use in analytics has been fully recognised.    Application and gamification data contains valuable information about users and their behaviour. This data can be used to measure and analyse user behaviour and determine personality profiling.  Existing software solutions promise support for gamification-related data. However, research shows that most gamification projects do not monitor and analyse this data in an automated way, even though gamification experts are aware of its potential. In this presentation we shall explore current uses and the potential for further evidence-based development.  Furthermore, we shall identify gaps of current solutions that should be addressed by future work in the field of gamification analytics and how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can further extend the use of gamification in assessment.  This will be a practical session which will provide participants with knowledge of the state of the art and appropriate background and knowledge so that they can identify ways in which techniques can be easily applied..  Ben Williams has extensive experience in designing and using assessment processes, assessment tools (including assessment centres and psychometric) and assessment training.

He has worked across industry sectors including banking, charities, financial services, local government, retail, healthcare and consulting. He frequently works as an advisor to other business psychology professionals seeking independent expertise, advice and support.  He is currently Chair of ABP. Dr Kiki Leutner is a business psychologist and professor at University College London (UCL). She is also Head of Science for Game Based Assessment at HireVue, where she develops innovative, mobile first assessments that are fair and psychometrically valid. Her academic work is published in peer reviewed journals, including work on the intersection of machine learning and psychometrics. She is an expert in innovative psychometric assessment, personality theory, and behavioral analytics.
It is expected that the presentations will last 50 minutes followed by approximately 30 minutes of Q&A and networking will as usual be encouraged at this event.     We should like to thank Manchester Metropolitan University Department of Business Psychology for once again hosting this event.
