Invasion Brecon Beacons

As part of Invasive species week we will be spending a day learning about invasive non-native species, their impact on wildlife and why and how to control them, with some practical action-hand pulling Himalayan balsam on the way. This will take place in the morning, starting at The Brecon Subud Hall, with a pleasant stroll to the River Usk and back along the canal. In the afternoon, another gentle stroll along the canal to learn more about bumble bees in the National Park. A basic introduction to the identification of some of our more common bumblebee species. The morning session is led by Beverley Lewis Brecon Beacons National Park Authority Invasive-non-native species co-ordinator. The afternoon session is led by Rebecca Price Brecon Beacons National Park Authority Ecologist.

You will need to bring a packed lunch and drinks.
