Employment Law Update Lunchtime Event

In this session the team at Veale Wasbrough Vizards will update attendees on the latest developments in employment law and provide a look ahead at upcoming changes and how to prepare for them. Speakers: Kathy Halliday, Partner at VWV, has over 20 years' experience as an employment lawyer acting for a wide range of commercial clients and clients within the public sector and third sectors including housing associations, schools and charities. Kathy has particular expertise in managing complex projects, including TUPE advice, large scale redundancies and restructurings; and tribunal litigation, including multi applicant claims and complex discrimination issues. Jane Byford, Partner at VWV has been advising clients on employment law and HR matters for over 20 years. Jane specialises in complex employment litigation, particularly discrimination issues and strategic HR projects, including internal disputes, senior recruitments and terminations, redundancies and restructurings and the employment implications of collaborations and mergers.

Lorna Scully is a Senior Associate in the VWV Employment team who provides employment law advice to clients in the public, private and third sectors. Lorna has over 10 years' experience acting on both contentious and non-contentious matters, regularly preparing, reviewing and advising on contracts of employment, policies, procedures, settlement agreements, and providing advice and assistance in dealing with disciplinary and grievance issues. Lorna also has considerable expertise handling tribunal litigation, including representation at the Employment Tribunal, where she is an experienced advocate.
