You are invited to attend a Bucks, Berks & Oxon (BBO) PA Network intimate networking event on Thurs, July 11th at The Best Western Calcot Hotel in Reading. This event is all about Virtual Assistants so whether you are one, you’re thinking of making the leap to become one or are just intrigued by what it’s all about, this is the event for you. Kathy Soulsby and Tiffany Wise, both successful VAs will be answering all your questions about life as a VA over dinner kindly provided by The Best Western Calcot Hotel. This event is limited to just 10. ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION THEME - FROM PA TO VA Our speakers: Kathy Soulsby & Tiffany Wise KATHY SOULSBY - Kathy became a Virtual Assistant in 2014 fitting it into the evenings and weekends alongside two PA part time PA roles which made a whole one.

She went fulltime in 2015 after shedding first one job and then the second as the business grew. Working mainly with consultants, coaches and trainers, she takes on all kinds of work, from diary management, blogs, CRMs and invoicing to cake ordering and voice-overs. She now works with a team of associates so she can take on bigger jobs. In May 2017, she published Virtually Painless, a humorous and slightly bonkers book about moving from employed PA to freelance VA. Covering the highs and lows of freelance life, it’s aim to answer the questions “Can I do that?” and more importantly “Do I want to do that?” When she isn’t sweating over an online timesheet, Kathy can usually be found in a field with a collie or two. TIFFANY WISE - Following a successful 15-year career in the city as an Executive Assistant within a number of market leading, high-profile companies including Merrill Lynch and the AA; entrepreneur and working mum Tiffany Wise founded TWVA in 2016 to give her more flexibility around family life.
In 3 years, the business has built up a strong portfolio of clients as well as a team of top-level associates, each with their own area of expertise. It has also unearthed a newfound passion in Tiffany for public speaking - in 2018 alone Tiffany spoke about the VA industry at The Business Show at the ExCel in London, at The Future Assistant Conference in Shoreditch and in front of Theresa May at an event in the PM’s local constituency. As a business owner that uses VA’s herself, Tiffany is keen to spread the word about the benefits that come from working with VA’s whilst similarly educating business owners on the importance of working with freelancers that adhere to best practice and professional standards. Outside of TWVA, Tiffany enjoys spending time with her young son, walking her cockapoo Denzel (when he’s not asleep in the home office.
), grabbing a bite to eat with friends and boxing (don’t worry, the gloves are left at the gym. ).  ABOUT THE VENUE The Best Western Calcot Hotel in Reading is an independently run hotel with its own unique style, full of individual charm and strong local character run by hoteliers with genuine passion and experience combining to make service, dining and accommodation into one of the friendliest and welcoming hotels in Reading. ■ The hotel is ideally situated less than 1 mile from the M4 junction 12 and just 3 miles from the busy town centre.■ 80 quality bedrooms of with free high speed Wi-Fi.■ Comfortable lounge bar and a wonderful restaurant.■ Conference suites accommodating up to 130 delegates.■ Popular weekly entertainment dinner shows including theme nights, tribute acts.
