Business Planning - often referred to as the 'missing middle ' between the initial ideas and aspiration and getting on with things day to day. Doing it properly is usually the difference between success and failure - this course provides a clear set of knowledge and tools to make that difference" The Course will be provided over a 12 hours’ interactive workshop over two concurrent sessions. Participants will undertake some practical exercises conducted during the session to illustrate and test out the concepts and will address The key aspects of a Business Model The Elements of an effective Business Planning Template and detailed guidance Modelling Issues and Assumptions The Intended User and Purpose (internal, financing, attracting partners, significant ventures) Purpose, Vision, Strategic longer term planning & Mission & Road Map- The one year and 2-3-year Business Plan Involvement in the process and Benchmarking/QA oversight Use of software packages or bespoke? The Use and Follow on actions including Tracking and updates, and identification of Impact.

To be eligible to apply for support from the growth programme you must be: • Small – your new business must be an SME. An SME has under 250 staff, turnover of £45 million and any ownership by a wider commercial group is below 25%. • Local – your business address is within the Cheshire East, the Cheshire West and Chester, or the Warrington council areas.• B2B – you must be (or plan to be) trading business-to-business and not selling directly to consumers.
