Open Art Automata Workshop

Automata Workshop Join sisters Julie (artist) and Alex (BSL interpreter) in a automata workshop, using cardboard and recycled materials to create small kinetic sculptures that bounce, bob, spin, wiggle, and wobble. Parents and their kids will work together to build their designs. Workshop is limited to National Deaf Children’s Society members only. Sat 6 July 1 – 3pm/ Jelly  - - - - -  During the week, we are giving even more people the opportunity to take part in our award-winning workshops for free. Open for Art is the biggest voluntary project we run, only made possible by the generosity of our volunteers, supporters and friends.  This year our workshops have been supported by our generous funders of Open for Art giving you the opportunity to try them out at a greatly reduced price.

All we ask is a small donation which will go directly in to our award winning education programme which benefits children across Reading.  - - - - -  Open for Art is just one of many events delivered by Jelly. As recognition for our work, in 2017 we were awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (The ‘MBE').  We aim to make everything we do free, accessible, and available to those restricted by social and economic reasons. Projects would not happen, nor would we reach as many people, without the support we receive. From businesses to individuals; volunteers to donations: every contribution matters. To support our work please get in touch.
