Better Money Financial Health Workplace

Due to the funding requirements, this workshop is aimed at businesses located in Coventry and Warwickshire only and forms part of the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Support Programme, part funded by  Coventry City Council and the European Regional Development Fund. (ERDF) The event is aimed at SME business owners, directors, managers, health and safety and HR professionals who have a responsibility for their employees. No prior knowledge is required.  This event supports the External risks to health criteria in the Thrive at Work Workplace Wellbeing Award. BETTER WITH MONEY If only money was simple. Sometimes it’s hard to know where to start; the aim of this session is to equip you with the tools to help you give your employees lots of ideas and practical help to improve their financial well-being  - covers silver level on thrve at work award.

This workshop will cover: Cash in: get clarity around our relationship with money Outgoings: understanding  budgeting tools, tips and pointers, reducing outgoings Debt: tackle debt & why we need to aim to be debt free, where to go for help Credit scores: How they can help or hinder financial futures Cushions: understand emergency funds Benefits: What you may offer how and how to help them understand Big stuff: Pensions, Homebuying and Insurance. In the workplace: What can you do to help Help: Resources, handouts and other areas to think about Your trainer for the day will be Jo Thresher, Director of Better with Money. Jo has over thirty years of financial experience and is the author of “What’s your excuse for not being better with money?” Jo’s mission is to provide easily-understood information to help everyone ‘move forwards’ with their finances. The session is designed to be fun and interactive, and attendees will receive planners to take away to help them become ‘better with money’.     Bookings: Places are limited and will be on a first come, first served basis, preference will be given to SME sized business within the LEP Growth sectors. A maximum of two places per organisation is offered, this may be reduced to one if demand is high. Cost: This workshop is offered free to those who meet the funding eligibility criteria, a £25 late cancellation and non- attendance fee will be charged. The venue is easily accessible by public transport and has free parking on-site. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes, if you are unable to attend you may send a colleague in your place.
