Leading Manufacturing Workforce Development

Industrial Digitalisation and Manufacturing 4.0 offers incredible opportunities, but also huge consequences.  This EnginE event explores some of the opportunities offered by smart product development, with a keynote on how leaders need to address people and culture as much as technology. Sean McIlvine, LUMS Honorary Teaching Fellow, Director of Infinite Perspective, and formerly HR director at both Rolls Royce Aerospace and Ford Britain, will explore how the implementation of change is deeply cultural, and requires great leadership as well as skills planning for the workforce.  He will particularly focus on the challenges for SME’s, and the need to set direction and priorities in what are often unfamiliar territories. Open to:  Lancashire-based SME’s in the Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing sector.
