Academy Events presents Tom Clarke Acoustically Celebrating 10 years of "We'll Live and Die in these Towns" for the final time …. Following a solo tour across the UK and venues packed to the rafters with fans who were still singing long after they left the building, The Enemy’s Tom Clarke announces just four final shows for the end of the year, celebrating the band’s tenth anniversary of their debut album, live for the very last time. This summer, Tom brought his fantastic collection of songs along with hits from the band’s back catalogue to sold-out crowds, performing them the way they were written – acoustically. Tickets were extremely limited, so now Tom wants to invite those who were there and those who missed out to enjoy this record one last time. Talking about the upcoming shows, Tom Clarke said: "Many of you know I've just been out on my own and played “We'll Live And Die In These Towns” in its entirety, acoustically, to celebrate the album’s ten year anniversary.
The tour was beyond anything I had expected, the shows were like no acoustic show I've ever seen, the fans, as always, melted my heart. Based on the success of these shows and some frankly amazing support from Academy Events who really deserve some praise for making this all possible, I'm able to announce a further four dates. The four shows are Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and London, right down the spine of the UK. The recent shows sold out very quickly and the demand for more shows has been high, so I advise getting your tickets as soon as they go on sale. This time around I intend to play “We'll Live And Die In These Towns” in its entirety again, as well as some other Enemy favourites from throughout the years. I'd really appreciate some feedback on Twitter from you guys about what Enemy tracks are your favourites. This time around I want to celebrate the whole decade, as well as the first album. At the recent shows I floated the idea of me writing some new material. I'm excited to say that's something I'm going to do. I fully intend to squeeze at least one new tune into the set on this handful of dates, so it'll be a plentiful and varied set list. This whole thing started off as a stripped back ending, but it's become an encouraging new beginning too. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.co.uk. I'll see you all again very soon. Tom X"
