Arts at the Old Fire Station
3pm - 6pm. A workshop led by the New Craft House. Macrame has been practised since the 13th century and is the art of using knots to create textiles. Don’t be fooled though, this is a super modern craft and can be found in every super fashionable interior. We’ll be starting right at the beginning of this craft, showing you how to create the knots to make different patterns and designs. You’ll then be using your new skills to create a colourful plant hanger. Everything needed to create your plant hanger will be included in the class but if you would like your hanger to fit a specific plant pot please do bring it along to check sizing. We recommend a pot no larger than 20cm in diameter for your first hanger. No prior knowledge of macrame needed. All ages, under 16s must be accompanied by a paying adult.
£45. www.oldfirestation.org.uk or 01865 263990 Book for the Introduction to Modern Embroidery workshop on the same day, and get both for £75. Just add the tickets to your cart.
